About Me

My Ph.D. topics are focused on complex and large scale data problems known as "big data" problems. Big data have been receiving increasing attention over the past few years since the data collection has become easier and faster. Companies are keen to expand their traditional data sets with social media data, browser logs, as well as text analytics and sensor data to get a more complete picture of their customers.

“I keep saying that the sexy job in the next 10 years will be statisticians, and I’m not kidding.”
